It was only a question time. The Trelleborg/Sassnitz song Landscaping has apparently gotten some airtime on a Greek radio station, which is quite good news. The DJ, who calls herself Astrogirl, also contributes to a blog called Sonic Playground, which now contains a story about us as well as a beautiful photo of Kalifen & Jonas. You can find these goodies at www.sonicplaygroundgr.blogspot.com

We’ve let Worldlingo translate the text for those of you who aren’t fluent in the Greek language but still curious about what she’s written: "They have Swedish identities, even if their sound refers straight in 80s Manchester [sygkechymenes] pictures. The five members group, create habits and open channels of communication… 'All art directors, designers and [grafiades] with common secret are not photographed never all together as group. Exaggeration, over-the-top [synaisthimatismos], repeated compositions with post-punk and indie krautrock lines and a black mystery it is misleaded in air. "Landscaping" constitutes the piece that Curtis would bless with comfort (it exists in free download from MySpace their, as one likeable remix that have made Artymove). Splendid!! P.S. note that their curious name, Trelleborg/Sassnitz, emanates from frequent and enough widespread in the Swedes way that it makes ferry which connects the city Trelleborg with the city Sassnitz of Germany."

See you in Athens.

The word is on the town.

Visit Swedesplease.net for an insightful interview with Robyn, and a delightful live performance of El Pero Del Mar and Lykke Li. Oh, and did we mension that they've spotted the new T/S video as well?

Joy to the world!

"Please God, let this be the lead singer!

Another brick in Trelleborg/Sassnitz’s wall of fame and fortune has been put in place. The Guardian has spotted ”Swedes Please” and refers to Craigs Bonells review on Trelleborg/Sassnitz as a reason to bookmark the site. Needless to say, we are very proud.

Craig Bonell of the American blog "Swedes Please" has written a short review on Trelleborg/Sassnitz. Read it here.

Director Anders Lövgren has created an isocronic music video generator and we're happy to have been the first ones to give it a try.

Anders Lövgren explains: "I have designed a tool for creating music videos automatically and in realtime. The different characters of the instruments are reinterpreted into visual effects, analogously and digitally, which are generated as the music is playing. The idea is to allow the unique quality of the music be the unique character of the image."

The video was exhibited in the exam exhibition of Beckmans College of
Design
during May 19-25 2008.
